Scubafied
In an effort to keep our website updated and fresh, we have
recently revamped the entire site, adding new sections, pictures and more
information. There is a great new section called “Shop Talk” that contains our
newsletters and travel reviews written by divers who have visited the sites.
By popular demand, we have launched the “Travel Review”
section. It has some great descriptions of different dive locations which may
interest you. The idea was hatched to provide divers with unbiased information
for a particular dive destination including accommodations, dive operators and
of course the quality of diving. We hope this will help you plan your next dive
getaway. You can share your experiences with other divers by sending us your
reviews of dive locations or even a place you wouldn’t go again, pictures are
welcome as well. Please send reviews and/or pictures to
texas@scubafied.com.
Don’t forget we also have our class schedules posted
as well as photos from the classes and all of our upcoming dive trips.
Dive for DAN
Our annual Dive for DAN charity event wasl be held on
Saturday, May 15th at Balmorhea State Park. As always, the event included
our traditional night dive treasure hunt with prizes donated from some of the
major scuba equipment suppliers. The event raised $827 for the Divers Alert
Network (DAN). THANKS TO ALL WHO DONATED AND PARTICIPATED!
Dive, Travel... Travel, Dive
WOW! What a great time everyone had
in Curacao!
Group
travel is a lot of fun and we are constantly working on ideas for exciting dive
trips. We have two upcoming trips planned to Cozumel (see details inside).
Another travel idea that has surfaced is a Caribbean cruise offering several
dive stops to give divers a sample of different dive locations on a single
trip.
We value your input! Please take
a few minutes to participate in our travel survey in this issue of the
newsletter. Look for our “Travel Corner” coming soon to the Dive Shop
offering travel information and taking suggestions from you, the traveling
diver!
