The Best Little Dive Shop in
Texas is the dream of Terry and Martha Ellerbrook. Both graduates of
Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, majoring in business and science. Terry
and Martha share a love for the sport of scuba diving and the beauty of the
underwater world. Their goal for The Best Little Dive Shop in Texas
is to provide the South Plains area with unmatched quality scuba
education, equipment selection and dive travel opportunities. In addition,
their love for the sport drives them to maintain the facility's status as the
region's premier Scuba center.

Terry
Ellerbrook is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer
with over 25 years o
f
diving experience including commercial underwater inspection and repair.
Terry is the Director of Scuba Training at The Best Little Dive Shop in Texas
and primary instructor teaching most of the courses. He enjoys focusing his
efforts on ensuring excellence in training and equipment servicing for all
customers.
Mark
McGinley is a PADI Master Scuba Dive, a biology professor at
Texas Tech University. His passion for diving has lead Mark to teach a
marine biology class in Jamaica every summer and teach Scuba courses on a live
aboard in the British Virgin Islands during his summer break. Mark's passion for biology makes him a natural for
marine and freshwater plant and animal identification. In fact, PADI
approved a Distinctive Specialty course titled Underwater Naturalist:
San Solomon Springs (at Balmorhea State Park) that Mark developed.
To our knowledge Mark is the only scuba instructor certified to teach a
Distinctive Specialty for San Solomon Springs.
Melissa Hogle
is a PADI Master Scuba Diver
Trainer. Melissa enjoys
teaching the
weekend courses, the Emergency First Responder and Rescue courses
for The Best Little Dive Shop in Texas. Melissa's love of travel makes her
a natural at teaching while on shop dive trips and she is an excellent group
leader for some of the trips. Melissa is also a certified Red Cross CPR instructor and the
Director of Texas Tech's Aquatic Center.
Andy McKay
is a PADI Divemaster and former Navy
Submariner. Andy is very knowledgeable in the area of dive equipment
operations and is actively involved in the Caprock Dive Club.
Mindi
McPherson is a PADI Divemaster and
certified sports trainer and educator for the Lubbock Independent School
District. Mindi assists with group travel planning and arrangements
for the Shop. In addition, she is an accomplished underwater photographer
and loves to share her knowledge of the picture taking with other divers.
Mindi is currently the president of the Caprock Dive Club.
LesLee Taylor
is a PADI Divemaster and a professor of Sports
Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. Scuba diving is
just one of LesLee's many interests and hobbies.
Deborah
Bradshaw
is a PADI Dive Master and she is a currently a student at
Texas Tech University.
Retail Operations
Martha
Ellerbrook is a PADI Rescue Diver and
Director of Business operations. Martha constantly strives to ensure
quality customer service and the best possible equipment and class prices in the
area.
Amy Ozment
is a PADI Open Water Diver and a
part-time sales associate for the shop. She is a student at Texas
Tech University majoring in Fine Arts.
Jenny Burton
is a full-time sales
associate and a recent graduate of Texas Tech with a BA degree in Photography.
She is currently working towards her Open Water certification.
Christina
Skeen is a PADI Rescue Diver working
towards her Divemaster certification. Christina is a part-time sales
associate with 3 years full-time managerial experience in the shop. Her
experience has provided her vast knowledge in scuba education and equipment selection.
Christina is a 2nd grade teacher for LISD and enjoys orienting youth
groups with knowledge of Scuba requirements.
